Ina Wanbli (E-nah Wanblee/mother eagle) sends her eight eaglets out to explore Wabasha, their home along the great Mississippi River. We need your help finding them! Wabasha Public Library – Art in the Park

The Wabasha Public Library received an Artists on Main Street Grant for Art in the Park during the summer reading program "Reading Colors Your World." Each Wednesday in June at Heritage Park children can learn and create with local artists. June 9th - Gratitude Flags with Randi Campbell, June 16th - Marbling with Dan Steffenhagen, June 23rd - Turtle Concrete Planter with SVJ Designs - Shelly Speedling, June 30th - Tie Dying with Chelsey Fenske and Beth Jewson. The Artists on Main Street initiative is a partnership between Wabasha Main Street Minnesota Main Street and Springboard for the Arts, that explores the intersection of arts and culture, downtown revitalization, and historic preservation. Wabasha’s Artist on Main 2021: Call for Artists

Wabasha’s Artist on Main 2021 is looking for artists and creatives in the Wabasha Area. Do you want to share your creative talents with the community? We are seeking up to 8 artist-led projects, programs or installations to be showcased this summer and fall in historic downtown Wabasha Main Street District if you meet the following criteria: If you consider yourself an artist, maker or creative Live or work within the 20-mile radius This year’s Theme for 2021 will be Healthy Community We are looking for any Artist lead program that depicts a healthy community as we come out of the pandemic and find inspiration in becoming healthier as a person and community. All artists must partner with a local organization, business or city park to place temporary or permanent installations in the downtown Main Street District. Downtowns are built to be the heart of the community. With the continued effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and recovery, Wabasha Main Street is taking stock of the public's views around downtown. Your input is needed to help guide their future plans and initiatives. This survey will take approximately five minutes to complete. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! We ask that applicants completing construction projects based on design assistance concepts share final project costs, information, and photographs with the Rethos Main Streets: Minnesota program. This information will be helpful in future project cost estimating, planning, and promoting successful outcomes.Any drawings that are provided to the applicant are for illustrative purposes only and are not for construction. Design services by Rethos Main Streets: Minnesota are artist renderings and do not take the place of services provided by a registered architect. Rethos Main Streets: Minnesota Design Consultation provides preservation-based recommendations that follow the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation as developed by the National Park Service.  Rethos Main Streets: Minnesota is not responsible for the non-discovery of any defects in material, workmanship, or other conditions of the property. Wabasha Main Street Announces Design Assistance for 2021

Spring is in the air!!! Is it time to think about sprucing up your signage or storefront with a new design? Wabasha Main Street, Inc. has the opportunity to provide free design consultation for Storefront/Façade and/or Signage Design Assistance to any business or property owner within the Wabasha Main Street District. This service is available once a year to Minnesota Main Street Communities, of which Wabasha is one of twelve. Wabasha’s Main Street District goes from Bridge to Bailey and the Riverfront to 2nd Street. Design consultation helps to identify historically significant building characteristics and to make recommendations on exterior improvements.
